A high-note trumpet player of the 1960's and early 1970's, Bud Brisbois was a favored session player in Los Angeles.

  • Duke Ellington: The Popular Duke Ellington: (RCA Victor LPM 3576 was the original LP issue) Tom Lord's Jazz Discography has Bud Brisbois recording with Duke Ellington on May 11, 1966. He replaced Cootie Williams on a session that was part of "The Popular Duke Ellington." The numbers recorded in that session were "Solitude," "Do Nothing Till You Hear from Me," "Perdido," "Mood Indigo."
